IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Seattle Biotech Jobs Database is a resource for people who are looking for work in the biotechnology industry in the Greater Seattle area.

There is NO CHARGE for using this database or for posting jobs here. It is being developed and operated by Craic Computing, a Seattle-based bioinformatics consulting company, as a service to our friends and colleagues who are looking for work.

The initial development of this project has happened very quickly as a response to the layoffs at Corixa and Celltech in November 2003 and the need for an efficient way to learn about open positions. As a result, the database and interface still have a few rough edges. As time goes on we hope to add new features such as email notification of relevant new jobs, links to resources on unemployment benefits etc, and (possibly) resume posting.

The Washington Biotechnology and Medical Technology Association provides a similar database, and have done so for a number of years. While this is a great resource, it does not contain all the positions that are available in Seattle. Be sure to check it out as well as the job listings at the UW and other large employers. We are trying to make this database as comprehensive as possible but you should not limit yourself in your search.

We will try and keep the database accurate and up-to-date, but IT IS UP TO YOU TO CHECK the information with the employer before you apply for a position. In particular, it can be very difficult to track which positions have been filled. You may well find positions listed here which are no longer available.

We can not be held responsible for any incorrect, outdated or incomplete information on this site.

The job descriptions included in our database are extracted from company web sites and other resources. In some cases we edit down the text that is included here, due to length or special formatting that we can't handle. Always check the employer's site for the complete job description and requirements.

PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR SEND US YOUR RESUME ! We are simply listing any job positions that we come across. If something looks interesting then contact the employer directly.
